WIP Nu Gundoom - Part 3

Huaaaaaa.. Easter holiday finish already and I haven't finish my kit.. ToT Toally out of my planning to finish this kit.. Anyway, I didn't do any paint job because I couldn't find sutitable time for me to do the paint job.. Paint job will take at least a day I reckon (including setting up the table etc and cleaning the stuff >.<).. So instead of waiting to find a good timing for painting, yesterday night I build the feet.. The feet is preety good in term of detail, but the articulation is very limited I can say.. Don't know what to talk here, solet the pictures do the talking.. :P

LEGS

Front look of the feet.. Preety masculin I can say..

Filling the seamline with putties and cement.

DETAILS

The details on the hip joint. Will detail it with gold and silver paint later on..

Nice panel lining and detail on the feet armors..

Even they put a pair of piston on the joint.. Any suggestion what colour should I use??

ARTICULATION and OVERALL WITH THE BODY

The top joint can move preety good but the lower joint doesn't do much..The ball joint on the feet is preety good to support the legs mobility..

Height comparison with HG RX 78-2 Gundam G 30th version.. You can feel it how tall this kit is..

Overall, I really pleased with this kit. Altought the joint is not able to do acrobatic pose, and  big seamlines that pushed me to use putty instead of cement, the design and proportion of the leg and panel lining are awesome. It took me around 6 hours to do all this. Sorry some of the pictures are not well focused, because I took it around 1 AM last night.. Hope you guys enjoy it and comments are more than welcome.. ^^

WIP Nu Gundoom - Part 2

I know the easter holiday is almost finish, yet I haven't done much with my Nu gundam.. I think it's because I am playing with my game too much >.<. I am planning (again :P) to build this kit in 4 stages.

1. build and paint the head,body, and crotch areas.
2. build and paint the legs
3. build and paint the hands
4. build and pant the accessories

I am going to do it like this because I am afraid that I might loss the parts since the parts are a lot (14 runners for HG?!?!?!). So, atm I am at 50% of the first stage and this is what I have done so far.

 

 Finish cutting, sanding the whole parts for stage 1.

BODY

HEAD

 

From the front, it's simillar with normal HGUC Nu Gundam, but..

 The detail from the back is just AWESOME.

SKIRT ARMORS

 

Filling the front and side skirts with epoxy putty and back skirts using 0.3mm pla plate. After that tried to make panel lining. (1st attempt to make panel lining)

Overall body pictures with skirts attached.

.Nice detail at the crotch piece. Will detail it later with some gold and silver paint.

Some parts that I didn't assamble during the WIP because they are to small and I am afraid to break it. >.<

So this is what I have done so far. Waiting for the rain to stop before I can start painting it (It has been raining for almost a week in Sydney ToT). So stay tune with this WIP and I will update this blog when I finish with painting the kit. ^^

WIP Nu Gundoom - Part 1

This is my first WIP of HG Nu Gundoom. Before I start building it, I took the picture of the runners and actually it is a lot of pieces to build. I am planning to build this kit in 2 - 3 days during my easter break. Hopefully I can finish it before my classes start again..

 The box art is nice and superb detail.. They style is simmilar to MG Gundam box art.. love it

PLATES:

 A

It has dark red, dark blue, and light pink beam sabers on this plate. They put a nice detail on the beam saber. Will take a picture of it later.

B

All yellow parts are in this plates. From V-fin, beam saber handle attachment, and fin funnels parts.

C

White parts for the head, shield, armors, and gatling gun??

D

The gun metal colour plate mainly for hands and inner frame for shield.

E

White parts for fin funnel. A lot of them ~____~

F

Another white plates for leg armors and bazooka.

G

Dark blue plates for fin funnels. Any idea what colour should I use for panel lining?

H

Another dach blue plates, this time for feet, leg armors and bazooka missile container.

I

The last plates and it is gun metal plates for inner frame and joint. I am amazed by the detail that they give in this kit.

So, overall for AU$48 kit with 14 runners in total, I think this is a great kit to buy  for everyone especially  if you are Nu Gundam lovers or evolve version fans. I can see that they really pay attention on the detail of this kit since they give a lot of detail on the "inner frame" and armors. Espesically the shield, instead of giving decal, they emboss the Univorn logo on the shield. A simple trick but it give an awesome effect. Will be cutting the parts right after this post and will take some more picture later on.

14 PLATES FOR HG KIT?!?!?!?!?!?! >.<

HG Comprehend Nu and Hi Nu Gundoom

I bought these two kits recently from my local hobby store. Nu and Hi Nu gundoom are made by Model Comprehend Model (MC Model for short),I believe this company based in China. Basically, these kits are high grade kits like "B" production with evolve design with it. The design is close to tthe evolve resin kit but different compared to HG kits from "B". The price of these kits are more expensive comapred to the "B" kits. I paid AU$42 for the Nu Gundoom and AU$48 for Hi Nu Gundoom. It is because the size of the box is huge. For Nu Gundoom the size is close to NG 1/100 box and for Hi Nu is close to MG Kaempfer
